Khamenei Appoints New Friday Prayer Leader in Ilam

TEHRAN-Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has appointed Hojjatoleslam Hadj Seyed Mohammad Naqi Lotfi to be his representative and Friday prayer imam in Ilam Province.

In his appointment letter, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution thanked the previous representative, Hojjatoleslam Yasobi, for his endeavors in fulfilling his spiritual duties.

He added that despite suffering the deprivation imposed by the former oppressive regime, the faithful people of Ilam have bravely defended the regional borders and stood against the enemies of the Islamic Republic.

The statement also said that Naqi Lotfi, as Friday prayer leader, should strive to help find solutions to the problems facing Ilam's citizens.

It read: "The cooperation of Ilam's clerics, its faithful people, and the provincial officials acts as a valuable assets to assist you in introducing people, particularly the young generation, to divine knowledge and the Islamic Revolution's teachings".
